Run, wild and free
It’s kinda strange how so much has changed in a matter of months, but there you have it - life as it is will never stop and wait for you to be ready. I doubt myself a lot, wondering if I really am all that prepared for the coming future, but nothing can be done and there’s no point in whinging anyway. Let’s just get on with it, and let things fall into place by themselves.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
OMG I was fiddling around with my Tumblr settings and accidentally installed another theme. -_- And I have no backup of my other one. This is fucking retarded. Layout’s gonna be fucking tuff on the eyes for a bit, but I’m can’t be fucked to sit down and do some HTML coding now. The sun’s still out at five p.m. and I’d much prefer to laze around.

Oh jeez louise
This is a perfect example of how lazy I really am - I got all dressed up in my new favourite high-waisted oversized rayon pants and random top (and socks, no less!), ready to head out for some fresh air before meeting Arthur … … … and then I thought for a bit, plonked myself back on my chair and decided to stay home instead. -_- I don’t think there’s any better term...

White shoes
This morning, we headed down to Queen Vic for brunch at one of the Spanish cafes near the entrance. While walking off to the meat and fruit sections of the market, my eagle eye caught sight of a pair of white jazz oxfords in size 7 on sale for only AUD5. Imagine my glee, really. Naturally, I went over to the stall and called to the owner, who is an old man, and asked about the shoes. After some...

Hello Berlin
Soundbite: Violent Dreams (Crystal Castles)
Some of you might know that I’ve recently expressed an avid interest in moving to Berlin for a year or two. There aren’t any hidden reasons behind the sudden decision like a lost soulmate or the death of a rich, unknown relative, I just want to go. Did some research on living there and have concluded that I have about 4 - 5 years of working...

Blow out that cherrybomb
Soundbite: Fracture (Glamour For Better)
To put it simply, Spoon was pretty awesome. Perhaps it’s the fact that I went in without much expectations, or that I was just in a particularly good mood all day long, but it definitely was an evening well spent. The band played well, there weren’t any significant technical faults, and the crowd was quite civilised (barring for a few...

A heartbeat on the danger side
Soundbite: Merchants of Soul (Spoon)
Last week, we headed down to the South Melbourne Market for brunch and some shopping. It was our first time there, and Anne had mentioned that it was like a cross between Queen Vic and Bangkok’s Chatuchak market, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Turns out, it’s not so much like Chatuchak, just a smaller and perhaps pricier version of...

How to: Make your own chain web bracelet
This whole idea was born out of a very depressing hour surfing through a variety of online shops, picking out truly kickass items that’ll definitely contribute in making me look like walking sex even though I was fully aware that I couldn’t (and still can’t) afford any single fucking thing. Do you have any idea how depressing that is?
So yeh, I whipped out a couple of old...

Sunflowers on the windowsill
Soundbite: Memory Man (Van She)
I’ll be in Singapore in June fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckyeahhomesweethome! :) Of course I’m super stoked to be flying back, even though it’s totally ripping a fucking large hole in my pocket (SGD1.2K, to be egg-zak). But I’ve got to be home to help my family unpack in our new house and see all my sweetass friends, especially this one...

Big fishes little critters
Soundbite: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (The Beatles)
Been listening to a lot of The Beatles of late to gear up for some Beatles Night that Darren, Marcus, Sal and I are heading to tomorrow. :) Haven’t really had a good night out in a while so this is a welcome change. And Spoon this coming Friday! Excited much.
So the shop’s open! Do take a look and see if anything interests you....

Vic Market trip #89758198
Sorry for posting so many photos from trips to Queen Vic but really, despite its tourist-y sorta feel, I like it. The food’s great, groceries are cheap and it’s always bursting with so much life. Everywhere you turn, it’s either a whiff of meat crackling on the grill, or a sudden burst of colour from the fruits and vege stalls, or the ear-bleeding tunes of shitty Peruvian flute...

It's never been more perfect
Soundbite: Ready And Waiting To Fall (Mae)
Mae’s Destination Beautiful (2003) and The Everglow (2005) have both been on constant loop on my iTunes for the past two days - the result of an afternoon spent clearing out the junk accumulated in my Drafts folder and coming across old prose written in 2005. It’s so strange how songs can trigger off so many memories; each time I listen to...

Such shredded goodness
Oh yehhhhhhhhhhh, remember when I mentioned before that I was embarking on a DIY project on a Nobody dress and a seam ripper? Well, the lack of news should’ve already made it quite clear that that particular project was abandoned, mostly because the dress was made of some sort of really weak cotton that just wouldn’t shred right. Okay, that was a shitty excuse. The truth is, I got...

Educate yourselves. →
I was really eggcited when I read on Susie Bubble’s blog that the British Pathé Film Archive had put up all their super duper old films on the Interwebz. So yeh, I immediately headed over and spent a good three hours poring through the videos tagged under fashion instead of burying my nose in that ever increasing stack of readings on my desk. Of course it’s all right if I spent those...

Birds in the sky
I woke up at 7.35 a.m. today. Why did I wake up at seven thirty frickin’ five in the fucking morning if I don’t have school? OH YES. ASSIGNMENTS. WOW, I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT YOU, MOTHERFUCKING HUGE PILE OF WORK. BECAUSE IGNORING THAT GROWING STACK OF PAPERS ON MY DESK IS REALLY QUITE POSSIBLE.
A mental breakdown is imminent. I’m just waiting for it to happen.
As you can...

The good kind of Lazy.
This is just great. I’m so broke that joking about the current state I’m in would be akin to laughing at the homeless man two streets down, so I strive to stay home as much as possible. However staying home = surfing the Internet, and surfing the Internet is a siren song because then I find all these super duper awesome sites with their Checkout carts that tempt me OH HOW THEY FUCKING...

Just five minutes ago, I texted Darren the following:
“FYI, I’m going to take some time in the shower because I’m going to shave muh pussaye okay.”
I love my housemates.

Oh mama, I don't care about nothin'
We’d dropped by the Lu’s a couple of evenings ago to pick up Arthur’s wallet because Shawn that silly sausage brought it back by mistake when he was over at ours the night before. An hour of Van Wilder (with a very young and virile Ryan Reynolds, also, a pretty Tara Reid) and some playing with their newest temporary tenant later, we ventured out into the cool night and...

This girl's in love
(Note subtle reference to a song by The Presets, which is related to the point of this entry. Ooooh, bet my extensive music knowledge is making all the indieboyz in da hood erect as fuck now.)
Took a break from my assignment (30%, due tomorrow, and I only started it this morning) to check my email and this beautiful piece of news greeted me - THE PRESETS HAVE RELEASED LIMITED EDITION SUNGLASSES!...

By the river
Apologies for the supremely unoriginal entry title but I couldn’t be in a less creative mood now. Just got back from a massive MASSIVE Japanese buffet dinner at Brighton and while the food wasn’t great, the company was anyway so I had fun. And I’m stuffed. :/ We also went to the Werribee zoo this morning, but I obviously haven’t begun the editing process for all …...

Alice in WONDER-land
As most of you might know, I’m currently doing my Masters thesis on the social effects of pornography. While writing my preliminary lit review for a module last semester, I studied about the Golden Age of Porn, which lasted from the late 60s till the early 80s. This was when porn was considered cool, and pornographic actors such as Ron Jeremy, Linda Lovelace, Annie Sprinkle and John C....
