It’s never been more perfect
Soundbite: Ready And Waiting To Fall (Mae)
Mae’s Destination Beautiful (2003) and The Everglow (2005) have both been on constant loop on my iTunes for the past two days - the result of an afternoon spent clearing out the junk accumulated in my Drafts folder and coming across old prose written in 2005. It’s so strange how songs can trigger off so many memories; each time I listen to Ready And Waiting To Fall (beautiful beautiful song), I remember how I’d tried to fall in love then and failed quite miserably. -_- Really, I was quite an asshole then.
Anyway, thought I’d put up some pictures taken when we walked out to our nearby Woolies near Clarendon Street for some lunch and groceries. It was a fucking gorgeous day; the sun was out but the breeze was chilly and awesome and that got us into relatively good moods.
Not to mention, the random cafe we decided to try turned out to be pretty ace. Sal ordered some chicken and mushroom pie (or something) and it was fucking delish but Darren wasn’t too hot about his egg and bacon muffin, which was admittedly dry. I got a banana muffin that was toasted in their wood-fire grill, so there was a slight burnt taste that somehow complimented the muffin and butter. :/ Don’t ask me, I’m not a food critic.
Been trying to find cheap flights back to Singapore because my stay is going to be a really short one, but goddamnit everything affordable is fully booked out. At this rate, it looks like if I want to get back to Singapore on a budget, I’m going to have to Google Map for directions and kayak across the fucking Pacific. -_-
